(A lot of people that are fans of my sonic artwork are asking me why I dont draw Sonic as much as I used to, hopefully this clears things up.)

I'm sorry to say this...but you are slowly getting into the lower parts of my fandom's list, like, down to probably the bottom of the anime section of my fandoms. What with TMNT, SWAT Kats, MLP, and others coming more into my interests, I am slowly growing out of you.

Its not that I hate you or that I hate the characters or even my own fancharacters, its just that, I'm getting older, and my interests are changing.

There hasnt been many new Sonic series' on TV, I dont play the games much, and 4kids seemed to have ruined Sonic X for me since I now wish it was aimed at older audiences.

Its not you, it was 4kids, they screwed us up. They did this to you. And it was SEGA as well, for they dont use you for anything much anymore. They abuse your existance.

I'm sorry that I dont draw you much anymore, and I'm sorry that my fangirling only seems to go to a short extent with you. But without much new things to fangirl over anymore in your fandom, I'm growing away from it. So until new things happen, I dont know what I am to fangirl over.

At one time, it was just you and Danny Phantom fighting for my attention, but now, its gone from that to Danny Phantom, TMNT, Swat Kats, MLP, Soul eater, ETC. These shows/anime's are what triggers my fangirl side all the time and what makes me smile, meanwhile, with you, lately I've been as straight-faced as a bad school picture.

However, I still love you dearly, your part of my childhood. But for now I'm just not feeling the spark anymore.

I dont know where its going to lead us now...but we will meet again in the middle eventually.

So, Sonic Fandom, goodbye for now.

But yea, aside from the dramatic letter I put above (only for your entertainment), I cant deny that its true.

The Sonic fandom has lost its spark with me. Like seriously, when was my last Sonstar picture? Or even Silvstar?! OO Like a year ago or something! OO

Unfortunately, the Sonic fandom is gonna be moved to the bottom of my anime list. It IS Sega and 4kids's faults though.

Why its SEGA's fault: I havent seen a game or anything about sonic in a long time, the last thing I saw that was Sonic related was that progressive commercial, and even that was last year. Thay havent done anything new with Sonic's existence except abusing his popularity. Not even a new TV show for petes sake. What is it SEGA?! Didja get BORED?! For god's sake the closest thing I have to Sonic right now is the archie comics! T_T

4kids: Since Sonic X was the first sonic show I got into, I was HORRIBLY obsessed with it when I was younger. It was a second ONLY to Danny Phantom. Thats where Starheart came in, her old outfit was the same one she's had since 2008, for I had only recently designed her. She was a self-insert of me, she was MUCH more of a sue then she is now (I still have to edit her backstory and change Kara's position in her group however.), and she was paired with Shadow and Sonic instead of Silver and Sonic at the time. (Yea, I know. What was I thinking...? =_=; HOWEVER, dispite this, I didnt know what would've originally been there if it had been made my an actual anime company, and when one of my sister's (Lexi ^^) Began showing me real anime for the first time only a couple of years ago, it opened my eyes to new possibilities. And it left Sonic X in the dust when I compared it to what it could've been.

I wish that Sonic X was pointed at older audiences, otherwise it wasnt much of an anime. I would probably still be really into it if 4kids would have just given the rights to a REAL anime company instead of butchering it. Otherwise, I probably would've been more interested, for god's sake I didnt even have the guts to finish Sonic X, not to mention that there were WAY too many animation errors. (Like one point in an episode where they gave knuckles fingers, or when he had green eyes, or when he had skin-colored arms. OY, so many errors, and that was only with KNUCKLES! Oo)

So yea, unfortunately, Sonic is slowly slipping from me. (As a matter of fact, the only character in the sonic universe that still appeals to me as fangirl-worthy is Werehog Sonic. And sometimes its still Silver, but not as often.) I may get back into it, but that may not be for a LONG while. Roleplaying is still fun though. XDD Seems that Roleplaying Sonic is much more fun that actually watching a show with him in it nowadays.

And I may still draw pics of Sonic every now and again, but I wont gaurantee it'll be directly Sonic related. (What I mean by that is that he may be in a picture with me giving him a hug more then it would be anything related to Sonstar. )

I wont be getting rid of or changing any of the shippings, for they all take a place in my heart being that they are still part of my childhood. So dont fret! ^^ Nothing is going to be trashed. ^^
